The City of El Paso seeks an inspirational servant-leader who prioritizes addressing the needs of the Department and the community to serve as its next Police Chief. The ideal candidate will be authentic and innovative, appreciates the unique El Paso culture, and is passionate about connecting with the entire community.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business, public administration, or a related field and 10 years’ experience in police operations, which includes six years in a third-level police supervisory position such as Captain or Commander.
Candidates must have a Texas Class C Driver’s License or equivalent from another state. Certification as a peace officer by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement is required by time of appointment. Must maintain all licenses and certifications throughout the course of employment.
The salary range for this position is $121,500-$239,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
