CALEA Assessors Recognized for Service

At the Fall 2009 CALEA Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, 31 individuals were recognized for their years of service as a CALEA Assessor. Acknowledged as the Commission’s “eyes and ears,” this award is given in recognition of the many loyal public safety officials who have demonstrated their long-term commitment to CALEA and the Accreditation Process.

 Receiving a 20-Year Award Plaque was: Assistant Chief Kenneth W. Findley, Deer Park (TX) Police Department; Chief David L. Kurz, Durham (NH) Police Department; Chief Leo C. McCann (Retired), Skokie (IL) Police Department; Chief Richard A. Mattice, Kentwood (MI) Police Department; and Chief Mary Ann Viverette (Retired), Gaithersburg (MD) Police Department.
