Changes to the CALEA Board
The CALEA Commissioners held elections during the December
2004 CALEA Conference in Austin, Texas, and elected a new Executive Board
effective January 1, 2005. Re-elected to the 2005 Executive Board were:
Commission Chairperson/President,
James M. O’Dell,
Chief of Police, Kettering, OH;
Commission Secretary,
Stanley Glanz, Sheriff, Tulsa County, OK; and
Commission Treasurer,
Patrick Oliver, Chief of Police, Fairborn, OH. Newly elected to the Board was
Commission Vice President, Mary Ann Viverette, Chief of
Police, Gaithersburg, MD.
The Austin Conference was the last for Commissioner Eduardo
Gonzalez. Commissioner Gonzalez joined the Board in 2001, and served on the
Standards Review & Interpretation Committee (SRIC) and on Review Committee “E.”
He was most recently the 25th Anniversary Committee Chair, where he
worked extensively with the host agencies and CALEA staff to plan our successful
anniversary event.
 The Commissioners also thank the entire CALEA Staff for
their hard work and superb contributions toward making the 25th
Anniversary Conference a memorable success.
