WORKING WITH YOU Rhonda Garner Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director
Rhonda joined the CALEA staff in March 2004, after a 27-year career in retail management and as a program assistant with the United Negro College Fund in the Washington Metropolitan region.
While in retail management, Rhonda held positions as area sales manager and customer service manager with Sears, Roebuck and Co. In 1995, she was promoted to store general manager for the Homelife Furniture Corporation in Woodbridge, Virginia, where she opened and operated a 5 million dollar furniture facility, until changing careers in 2001.
Rhonda is a native of Virginia, and comes from a large family, where she is the fifth oldest of 12 siblings. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia.
Rhonda serves as administrative assistant to the Executive Director, liaison with Commissioners, and manages the CALEA assessor records. Rhonda is passionate about her faith in the Lord; she enjoys putting together 2000 piece-puzzles (nature scenes), and truly loves to meet and help people.
