Reaccreditation Proofs

Once accredited, an agency is scheduled for reaccreditation and presentation to the Commission based on the anniversary date of its initial accreditation award.  Future assessments of the agency are scheduled based on this award date and not the date of the previous assessment.

An accredited agency may ask for a reaccreditation assessment one period earlier or one period later than their anniversary date, with a written, timely request to the Commission.  The accreditation manager should be aware that such a request does not absolve the agency from the responsibility of having proofs of compliance in its accreditation files relevant to the period between the previous assessment and the current assessment. This is particularly true of time sensitive performance standards.
