Communications Corner When the year 2000 closed there were three communications agencies accredited and fifteen more agencies in self-assessment for the Public Safety Communications Accreditation Program. Thirty-seven agencies had requested pre-application packages and were considering becoming accredited. The strength of the Communications Accreditation Program is that it was developed in co-operation with APCO, which was able to provide technical and executive expertise.
