Earlier On-sites
A review of the on-site assessment process found that in order to adequately prepare for Commission meetings, more time is needed between the on-site and the Commission meeting. The deadline for completing on-site assessments is now approximately one month earlier, in April, August, and December. To assist agencies, CALEA no longer requires on-sites to be conducted during specific periods. Generally, agencies can now choose their on-site dates in any of the four months before the new deadline. Additionally, agencies must notify CALEA five months in advance when requesting an on-site assessment. Contact your Commission representative for more information.
