Louie C. Caudell, Chief of the Little Rock (AR) Police Department since
1988 retired July 30, 1999, after 27 years in law enforcement. He started his career in
1972 as Assistant Chief in Dallas (TX). He is a graduate of the Virginia Military
Institute, and received a Masters in Human Relations and Business from Abilene Christian
University at Dallas. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy, and served on
their Criminal Justice Information Services Advisory Policy Board. He intends to maintain
contact with the department and will enjoy woodworking, writing, and travel in his
retirement.
