Karen joined the staff in January 1997, after serving as the accreditation manager for the Falmouth (ME) Police Department, where she served for 13 years. She is the first woman and non-sworn law enforcement professional to serve as program manager and brings to her front-line job with assessors and accreditation managers her own experiences as a CALEA assessor. Karen is the CALEA staff liaison for the Standards Review and Interpretation Committee and was assigned as the CALEA staff liaison for the Fifth Edition Standards for Law Enforcement Agencies.
