NEWS RELEASE 2005 EXECUTIVE BOARD December 2004 The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA®) is pleased to announce the new 2005 CALEA Executive Board. Elections were held during the December 2004 Conference in Austin, Texas and are effective January 1, 2005. The 21-member Commission elects its own Board of Officers during the annual Fall/Winter Conference. The Executive Directors of these four associations appoint members to the Commission annually. The Commission has 21 members; 11 members are law enforcement practitioners; the remaining 10 members are from the public and private sectors. The position is voluntary with Commissioners appointed to a term of three years. The Commission meets three times each year. Re-elected to the Executive Board were: Commission Chairperson/President, James M. O’Dell, Chief of Police, Kettering, OH; Commission Secretary, Stanley Glanz, Sheriff, Tulsa County, Oklahoma; and Commission Treasurer, Patrick Oliver, Chief of Police, Fairborn, OH. Newly elected to the Board was Commission Vice President, Mary Ann Viverette, Chief of Police, Gaithersburg, Maryland. CALEA congratulates the 2005 Executive Board.
