NEWS RELEASE September 30, 2001 A MESSAGE FROM CALEA On Tuesday, September 11, 2001, we, along with the rest of world, witnessed a terrible tragedy. The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc., (CALEA®) would like to extend our deepest sympathies to everyone affected by these devastating events. The images from Washington, D.C., New York, and Pennsylvania will be eternally engraved in our minds, but our hearts were filled with pride as we watched the brave men and women from law enforcement and emergency services continue their efforts to rescue survivors and locate those who are still missing. CALEA will conduct the Winter Conference in San Diego, California, on November 14-17, 2001. We will make every effort to make this conference productive and informative measuring up to the standards we customarily experience. We look forward to seeing you in San Diego.
